Correctional Officer I Cathy Saville of Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri was recently referred to CPOF’s Catastrophic Assistance Program after being diagnosed with breast cancer. Julius Roberts of MDC Los Angeles passed away on June 30, 2024 due to an unknown medical condition. He left behind two teenage children. CPOF was there for his mother to assist with expenses related to his burial.

Correctional Officer John Chelette of FCC Pollock in Louisiana was first referred to the Correctional Peace Officers Foundation’s Catastrophic Assistance Program in April of 2003. At that time, Correctional Officer Chelette’s wife, Cecile, was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and multiple sclerosis. The family traveled 500 miles for treatment.
