From Service to Stewardship: Veteran Correctional Professionals Leading a National Effort of Care

The Correctional Peace Officers Foundation (CPOF) has always stood for one simple but powerful promise: Taking Care of Our Own. That promise is kept every day by the dedicated network of Senior Field Representatives, Field Representatives, and volunteers who work tirelessly across the country to serve the correctional family.

At the forefront of this effort are our Senior Field Representatives,  experienced men and women who have each spent their careers in the field of corrections, whether in detention, probation, or parole. Collectively, they bring over 50 years of service to CPOF and decades more as correctional professionals. Their insight, compassion, and leadership have shaped how the Foundation connects with members, supports staff in crisis, and honors those who have given their all in service.

Yet their work is only part of a greater team effort. Every Field Representative and volunteer contributes to the strength and reach of our mission. From recruiting new members and coordinating assistance to representing CPOF at facilities and events, these dedicated individuals form the bridge between the Foundation and the correctional community.

Together, this nationwide network ensures that every officer, family, and facility knows that CPOF is here — ready to help, to listen, and to stand beside them in times of need. The unity of this team is the heartbeat of CPOF’s mission, transforming compassion into action in every region.

As we look toward 2026 and beyond, CPOF remains committed to growing this network and developing the next generation of field leaders. Through shared purpose and collective effort, we continue the mission that began more than four decades ago: taking care of our own, wherever they serve.
