Correctional Officer Anthony Souza, 44, unexpectedly passed away on September 27, 2021.  After graduating from the academy in 2002, he reported for duty at Pelican Bay State Prison. In April 2005, he transferred to the Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison (SATF). He remained at SATF until his passing.

Officer Souza left behind his wife and boy-girl twins, Gerrit and Victoria Souza.
