Alexander Correctional Institution – North Carolina

The Alexander Correctional Institution in Taylorsville, North Carolina houses close custody offenders in single cells and minimum-custody offenders in dormitories in a 252-bed minimum-security unit. Custody Officer Austin Chase Cheek

On January 28, 2024, Custody Officer Austin Cheek passed away. He left behind a 7-year-old daughter. CPOF’s catastrophic assistance fund assisted his mother with burial expenses.
