Correctional Officer Ronald Chesterman’s 15-year-old son, Noah, lived in California with his mother. He was visiting his girlfriend when a fire broke out. He and the 14-year-old girl were trapped and killed in the fire. The Catastrophic Assistance Program was there to help Officer Chesterman get to his son’s services and assist with burial costs. […]

Correctional Officer Ronald Johnson was killed by two inmates who were attempting to escape from the South Dakota State Penitentiary in Sioux Falls. On December 23, 2024, Lieutenant Julian Hernandez’s daughter, son-in-law, and 2-year-old granddaughter were involved in a terrible car accident. Lieutenant Hernandez’s daughter, son-in-law, and the driver of the other vehicle were all killed in the accident.
