National Honor Guard Training

This week, the CPOF National Honor Guard Team came together for their annual training—two full days dedicated to precision, professionalism, and honoring the meaning behind every movement.

Training took place on Wednesday and Thursday, February 11–12, reinforcing the fundamentals that define the Honor Guard while continuing to refine timing, protocol, and teamwork. Though many of these members have years of experience, the team trains at least annually—a reflection of their commitment to excellence and respect for the responsibility they carry.

On Thursday, we were proud to welcome Honor Guard teams from surrounding facilities to join in the training. The opportunity to train side by side strengthened connections, encouraged shared learning, and underscored the unity that exists across our correctional community.

Every practice, every correction, and every repetition is done with purpose—ensuring that when the Honor Guard steps forward at memorial services, ceremonies, and events like PROJECT 2000, they do so with the highest level of honor and respect.
