
Correctional Officer Martin Alejandre’s six-year-old son, Edwin, was diagnosed with chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis (CRMO), a disease that causes pain and damage in bones due to inflammation. The family must travel 300 miles from home to the Denver Children’s Hospital for treatments.
