The Correctional Peace Officers Foundation mourns the loss of a treasured colleague, mentor, and friend, Field Representative Rose Williams, who passed away on the evening of December 22, 2025.

Rose Williams’ life was defined by service. Her extraordinary career in corrections spanned more than 51 years, marked by steadfast leadership, compassion for others, and an unwavering commitment to those who serve.

Rose dedicated 34 years of service to the Georgia Department of Corrections, followed by 17 years as a respected member of the Georgia Board of Corrections. She led with grace, strength, and humility, leaving a lasting impact on the agency and the broader corrections community.

In November 2025, Rose was honored by the Georgia Department of Corrections and the Georgia Board of Corrections with a Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing her decades of leadership and service.
