Tristen Flores of the Colorado Department of Corrections was diagnosed with stage 3 Melanoma and is currently undergoing treatment. While receiving treatment, his wife, Jonna, prematurely gave birth to twins.

Both babies were sent to the NICU after their birth. While not simultaneously, both babies were discharged home and are with their loving parents and adoring big sibling.

Tristen originally began working with CDOC in 2020, left, and returned to the department in December of 2022. He became a member of CPOF during both times, wanting to help others. He never knew it would be he that CPOF was there to help!
