Corrections Officer V. Latoya Turner is enduring an unimaginable hardship after her 17-year-old son, Cameron, was tragically shot seven times and remains in the ICU. Officer Turner has been out of work since March, staying by Cameron’s side as he fights to recover.

Human Resources Representative Tammy Ledford and Major Simon referred Officer Turner to our Catastrophic Assistance Program. We were honored to present her family with a check to help offset the medical expenses they have incurred during this incredibly difficult time.

Our thoughts remain with Officer Turner and her son Cameron as he continues on the road to recovery.
