Smith State Prison – Georgia

Correctional Officer Joannah Kennedy went out on FMLA leave for surgery.  While recovering from surgery, she was involved in a car accident, and diagnosed with breast cancer, prolonging her time off of work.

Lee Clark, CPOF member and Superintendent at Smith Transitional Center in Claxton, Georgia, presented Correctional Officer Joannah Kennedy with an assistance check to help her as she is
battling cancer. Prior to her diagnosis, she had been recovering from a vehicle accident. We are praying that Officer Kennedy beats cancer and can return to work.
