Oklahoma Probation and Parole

Oklahoma Probation and Parole Officer II Anna Walters unexpectedly lost her husband to a motorcycle accident on May 2, 2024.

Jonathan Walters, 41, was traveling east on Interstate 40 near mile marker 295 around 8:30 p.m. on a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he lost control on a curve, left the roadway, and struck a cable barrier.

He was born on August 23, 1982 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Wanda Ella (Kennedy) Walters and Dennis Lee Walters and passed away on May 3, 2024 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.  He was married to Anna (Fine) Walters on October 30, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jonathan was a former Calvary Scout for the U.S. Army National Guard and a U.S. Army Veteran. For the past 5 years, he has enjoyed life as a stay-at-home Dad to his two sons. His whole world was his family.

Survivors are wife, Anna of the home; two sons, Dawson and Riley Walters of the home; mother, Wanda Walters of Sallisaw, OK; father, Dennis Walters of Corpus Christi, TX; two sisters, Mary and Christopher Barker of Sallisaw, OK and Melissa and Joe Honeycutt of Marble City, OK; one brother, Jeff and Jennifer Walters of Stilwell, OK; nieces and nephews: Tj, Derek, Bryston, Ty, Julia, William and great nieces and nephew: Layla, Averie, Teddy Joe, Marshall-Anna, and Whitley.

 

CPOF and the Catastrophic Assistance Program was there to assist Walter’s family during their time of need. Please keep his wife, sons and family in your thoughts and prayers.
