It is with deep sorrow that we share the heartbreaking loss of baby Jace Neal Anderson, the beloved son of Hollis Anderson—a valued member of the Maintenance Department at the Goree Unit (Texas Department of Criminal Justice)—and his wife, Brittany Anderson.

Jace was born on December 28, 2023, in The Woodlands, Texas, and entered the arms of Jesus on April 19, 2025. In just sixteen short months, Jace brought an immeasurable amount of love, light, and joy to everyone who had the privilege to know him. Known affectionately by many nicknames—Fat Boy, Baby Jace, Michelin Baby, Pookie, Chicken Nugget, Bad Baby, and Mommy’s Baby—Jace’s smile and spirit touched the hearts of all.

Jace’s passing occurred suddenly during a nap, when his mother went to check on him and discovered that he had peacefully passed away. In the wake of this devastating loss, the Correctional Peace Officers Foundation was honored to provide catastrophic assistance to the Anderson family.
