When FSD IV Tasheva Brown of Lee Correctional Institution in South Carolina suffered a workplace injury, her road to recovery proved long and challenging.

Tasheva was injured on the job on September 27, 2024, resulting in the need for knee replacement surgery on June 27, 2025. She has been out of work since May, focusing on her rehabilitation and attending regular physical therapy sessions.
