When FSD IV Tasheva Brown of Lee Correctional Institution in South Carolina suffered a workplace injury, her road to recovery proved long and challenging.
Tasheva was injured on the job on September 27, 2024, resulting in the need for knee replacement surgery on June 27, 2025. She has been out of work since May, focusing on her rehabilitation and attending regular physical therapy sessions.
Understanding the financial and emotional strain that extended medical leave can bring, the Correctional Peace Officers Foundation provided catastrophic assistance to help Tasheva during this difficult time. This support reflects CPOF’s ongoing mission to stand by correctional professionals facing unexpected hardships.
As Tasheva continues her recovery, CPOF sends best wishes for her healing and thanks her for her dedicated service to South Carolina’s correctional system.
