CPOF Assists Missouri Corrections Officer Following Devastating House Fire

The Correctional Peace Officers Foundation recently provided catastrophic assistance to Corrections Officer Cheyenne Vire of Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri following a devastating house fire that occurred on April 21, 2026.

The fire resulted in the loss of Officer Vire’s home and all of her personal belongings, creating an unexpected hardship and leaving her family to begin the difficult process of rebuilding. During times of crisis such as these, CPOF remains committed to standing beside correctional professionals and their families, providing support when it is needed most.

Thanks to the generosity of CPOF members and supporters across the country, assistance was provided to help Officer Vire address immediate needs and begin moving forward after this tragic loss.
