Correctional Officer Victor Mitchell of Century Correctional Institution is scheduled to undergo surgery and must travel more than 220 miles one way to receive the care he needs. The distance and time away from home have added to the strain of an already challenging situation.

Victor was referred to our Catastrophic Assistance Program by Warden Robert Flores and CPOF Field Representative John Kolodziej. CPOF was honored to assist Officer Mitchell with some of his travel expenses to help ease the burden during this difficult time.

We are keeping Officer Mitchell in our thoughts as he prepares for surgery and wish him a speedy recovery.
