Referred by Michelle Farrell and Deanna Pierce, Captain Cheryl Hill is currently undergoing treatment for endometrial cancer, receiving chemotherapy three times per week for an undetermined period. Due to her condition, Capt. Hill was unable to attend the check presentation at the facility—but her daughter, Jasmine Hill, a Social Worker Supervisor Manager at the prison, graciously accepted the CPOF catastrophic assistance check on her behalf.
We were later honored to see Capt. Hill in person, as she felt well enough to attend the PDP Picnic during Correctional Employees Week, where we had the opportunity to take a photo with both Capt. Hill and her daughter.
Capt. Hill and her family expressed heartfelt gratitude to CPOF for the support and assistance provided during this challenging time. We continue to keep her in our thoughts and wish her strength on her journey to recovery.
