Captain Darren Williamson of the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Department passed away on March 27, 2025, after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Captain Williamson began his law enforcement career in 1985 and served Baldwin County for more than 30 years, holding various roles throughout his distinguished career and earning multiple commendations before retiring.

His family was referred to our Catastrophic Assistance Program by Major Steven Arthur and CPOF Field Representative John Kolodziej. CPOF is honored to provide assistance to his wife, Melissa Williamson, to help with funeral expenses during this time of profound loss.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Williamson family and all who served alongside Captain Williamson.
