Regional Volunteer Coordinator Andrew Zack of Colorado was recently assisted by the Catastrophic Assistance Program following the loss of his wife. Below is the email he sent in to express his gratitude.
Dear Jazmyn and Guy
There are not enough words that can express my heartfelt appreciation for all that you and the CPOF have done to be of spiritual, emotional and financial help during perhaps the trying and challenging time in my life
My wife, Janet, was told in 2014 that she had Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer and would probably live only a few years. By the Lord’s grace and mercy, Janet lived 10 years and saw our grandchild grow up, with her and I have the opportunity to do many things.
Janet was placed in Hospice Care at home at the end of October, 2024 and again , surprising her physicians and Compassus Care, she lived until her passing on January 7, 2025.
Through this heartbreaking and difficult time, upon hearing of this, Guy Edmonds contacted me visited us in our apartment in Colorado Springs, his genuine love and compassion was so obvious to Janet and I, and with his visit he gave us a check that helped greatly with medical expenses
After Janet passed, CPOF again helped and assisted with the Funeral Expenses with a check that Guy Edmonds delivered to me at the Colorado Dept of Corrections HQ in Colorado Springs.
While I was at the Corrections Academy in October 2017, and Guy spoke of becoming a member of CPOF by giving a small amount each month, I did not perceive that I would at some time in the future need the support and support of CPOF.
Again, you both by but your kind and comforting words and financial support have been there beyond what I could imagine
I will pray for favor and blessings upon all that you do to serve so many people.
Again thank you, I appreciate all you have done, and I appreciate you
Andrew J. Zack
