Correctional Officer Trent Ford passed away on Christmas Eve, 2024. Officer Ford from Lancaster County left behind his fiance and two daughters, Jasmine (age 15) and Vanessa (age 18).

CPOF’s catastrophic assistance program was able to help his fiance, Mary with costs associated with his burial.

Trent A. Ford, 52, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly on December 24, 2024. Born in Lancaster, Trent was the son of the late Kenneth J. and Mozella Y. (Lucas) Ford. He was the loving fiancée to Mary “Mimi” E. Troy and father to his two daughters Vanessa and Jasmine.


Trent was a graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School. He was a Corrections Officer with the Lancaster County Prison. He was a devoted 49ers fan, loved playing basketball with friends, singing Karaoke, vacationing at the Beach, listening to 80’s and R&B music, cooking on the outdoor grill and cheering for Penn State. Trent loved spending time with his daughters and always stressed Fundamentals on any topic he discussed.

In addition to his fiancée Mimi and his daughters Vanessa E. Ford and Jasmine S. Ford, he is survived by his brother Mark E. Ford, his stepson Nathan A. Byrd and his stepdaughters: Mimi A. Troy and Elisabeth M. Troy. Trent is survived by 17 stepgrandchildren and 2 step great-granddaughters,
