Superintendent Jamie Miller of Snake River Correctional Institution in Oregon presented Captain Jamie Herrera with a catastrophic assistance check to help offset some of his medical costs. Captain Herrera has been diagnosed with terminal cancer in his kidneys that has traveled to his bones. He travels over 50 miles for his appointments and has had to miss work.
