CSW Robert McCoy of FCI Beckley in West Virginia had a house fire shortly after Christmas. At the time of the fire, his wife was hospitalized 3 hours away to prevent the premature delivery of their child. She was only 31 weeks pregnant at the time, with the expectation to remain hospitalized until the time of delivery.

Mya, his 16 year old daughter was home at the time of the fire. Not only did the fire cause major damage to their home, but Mya also suffered a burn to her ankle.

CPOF’s catastrophic assistance program was available to the McCoy family during their time of need.
