Lieutenant III Myers of Anson Correctional Institution in North Carolina was recently assisted by the Catastrophic Assistance Program.

Kaija, her 13-year-old daughter, was diagnosed with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis of the lumbar and required surgery. Kaija had to have several surgeries due to complications and forming blood clots. Lieutenant III Myers was out of work for several months while tending to her daughter’s medical condition.
