Dear Correctional Peace Officers Foundation, Inc. Board of Directors:
It is indeed a pleasure to be chosen as a recipient of the Dave Romay Scholarship. I would like to express
my sincerest gratitude to you and the Correctional Peace Officers Foundation for this honor. I am
currently attending Georgia State University’s Byrdine F. Lewis School of Nursing and I am pursing a
Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I currently have a 3.6 GPA and my career goal is to become a nurse
practitioner.
Receiving this scholarship has not only provided financial assistance but it has motivated me to work
harder and strive for excellence in my academic endeavors. With this support, I am now able to focus on
my studies and participate in extracurricular activities that will contribute to my personal and professional
growth.
Thank you for investing in my future. Your generosity has made a significant difference in my life, and I
will make the best of this opportunity.
Sincerely,
India S. Cummings

Dear CPOF,
I want to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks for the Dave Romay
scholarship. This scholarship support has been instrumental in my academic journey, enabling
me to pursue my passion for Biology with a Health Science concentration and a minor in
religious studies. With this degree, I aspire to continue my education to the doctoral level and
contribute to the field of pediatric oncology or congenital diaphragmatic hernia. This semester, I
am undertaking major required classes such as Anatomy One and Biochemistry, and I am also
excited to have been recently appointed as the Prize and Vendor Lead Coordinator in the
Emmanuel College Programming Team (ECPT). It will be a busy semester and I am excited to
begin and work hard to do well.
I would like to thank you immensely for this amazing scholarship. The scholarship is so
important to me and is helping alleviate some stress through my college experience by relieving
some of the financial burdens. Because of this scholarship award, your support has helped me
grow one step closer to achieving my career and lifetime goals.
With heartfelt appreciation.
All the Best and Thank You!
