Limon Correctional Facility – Irene Buckingham

Supervisor Irene Buckingham is the heart and soul of the Correctional Industries Garment and Flag Manufacturing plant she supervises at  Limon Correctional Facility.   In April of 2024, Irene had a hip replacement.  Not only was she off work for 6 weeks while recovering and participating in physical therapy, she also had to travel 150 miles roundtrip for her follow-up care.

Through our catastrophic assistance program, CPOF was able to assist Irene with travel expenses related to her medical care.

The  Garment factory manufactures all uniforms for incarcerated adults as well as embroidering name tapes and badges for DOC staff uniforms. Besides uniforms, the most popular products manufactured here are American and Colorado flags, as well as DOC flags, and a variety of Agency, City, County, and School flags.

We wish you a speedy and full recovery Irene! And thank you for taking the time to write in and send this photo!
