Case Manager Patty Pierce – Colorado

Thank you to Colorado Field Representative Guy Edmonds for being there for the family of Patty Pierce and sharing the following with us:

Case Manager Patty Pierce was a long-time supporting member of CPOF. She was a Correctional Case Manager at Four-Mile Correctional Facility and a Colorado Department of Corrections employee for over 28 years. She was passionate about her work with the JCAP program and ensured her caseload was well represented while also holding offenders accountable to be functional members of society.

She passed away on April 27, 2024. Warden Richard Persons said “Patty spent her entire career at CMC and has always been a very valuable contributor in the many roles she had at Canon Minimum Centers. Patty leaves behind many positive and happy memories with all of us. Her passing is a tremendous loss for the Colorado Department of Corrections and the Canon Minimum Centers.”

Patty’s daughter Sairah Verne, a CPOF member who works as a Case Manager at Fremont Correctional Facility, shared her mom’s passion for beading, crystals, making bracelets,  necklaces, and many different trinkets. She was a fierce, honest, and true woman who didn’t take any fuss from anyone. Patty is also survived by another daughter, Brandy Lueck, four grandsons and two sisters.

Her legacy will continue.
