Retired Correctional Officer Curtis Nelson’s wife had been fighting inflammatory breast cancer. She was ending her session and getting ready for bed when she collapsed and passed away in Curtis’ arms.

Leslie is survived by her parents, Laura Weltin and Louie (Darla) Hobbs; her husband Curtis; her children Nathan(Stephanie) Nelson, Tyler Nelson, and Carrie Carson; grandchildren Kayden and Axel; sisters Lori (Prentice) Woodard, Lynett Zahnow, and Wendy(Matt) Walker; her brother Marcus(Christy) White; and many nieces and nephews.
