On February 20, 2024, Correctional Officer Amanda Eartly was assaulted by an inmate. While working at Albion Correctional Facility in New York, her assault resulted in her being placed in a short cast due to a right wrist sprain and concern for an occult scaphoid fracture. She is expected to be off work through May. CPOF Field Representative Pat Gallaway presented Officer Eartly with a catastrophic assistance check while she recovers from this assault.
