“Taking Care of Our Own” in New York

Meet Correctional Officer Mark Miller. Officer Miller was first introduced to CPOF when his 16 year old daughter, Ysabella, had a tumor on her kidney that had to be removed in 2018. The Miller family had never heard of CPOF prior to this event. CPOF is incredibly fortunate to have contacts at multiple facilities throughout the nation to be our eyes and ears on the ground.

Later that same year, tragedy again struck the Miller Family. His wife, Anna, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Since her diagnosis, they have had frequent follow-up appointments and hospital stays.

In January, Anna Miller was hospitalized at the University of Vermont Medical Center.  She will require several follow-up visits. While she is hospitalized, Officer Miller takes their 3 children back and forth, 100 miles roundtrip, to visit her.

Thank you to our contact at Bare Hill Correctional Facility in New York, Correctional Officer Tyler Dvornski for presenting this assistance check to Officer Miller.

To the Miller Family, we are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
