In May of 2023,  Sergeant Demetria Callends with the Georgia Department of Corrections lost her house in a fire. While her and her two sons were able to escape without injury, they lost everything in the fire.

While the Red Cross was able to find shelter for Sergeant Callends family, CPOF was there to provide assistance to help with food and clothing.
