“On March 31, 2023 an EF3 tornado hit the small town of Wynne, Arkansas ruining my youngest sons (Jeffery Tod Grady’s) house. I lost him in 2012 and this is the only thing we had left of him. We heard of the tornado and came to see the devastation. It shifted the foundation, knocked almost every window out, put holes in the roof, and most all the trees around it were flat on the ground. We now had to figure out how to clean up and start over.
We had so many people come by on the 2-4 hour trips we made to just barely put a dent in the clean up. In the course of going back and forth for almost a month we saw Red Cross, Team Rubicon, people from the town bringing hot food and a cold drink, church people and college students from Lions College in Batesville, Arkansas coming and helping us clean up debris and limbs and stumps and trash etc…
We also got the privilege of being helped by the CPOF family and I just want to say every little bit has helped. We were kind of lost as to what to do next but after my son (SCSS Herbert Grady), wife and their youngest daughter made the trips with us to help clean up we were able to get in touch with FEMA and then Samaritans Purse. Samaritans Purse was still in the area and we signed with them to take the house down as there was NO saving it. We are so grateful to them and everyone else because we weren’t sure what to do or how to go on from this extreme devastation.
We thank the CPOF family because they have always been there for our family and we also thank everyone else who helped in this time of need.
Thank you from the Grady Family”
