Ricard, Mary

Sergeant Mary Ricard was killed when she was stabbed repeatedly in the neck by an inmate. The inmate attacked Sergeant Ricard in the kitchen area of the medium security prison while breakfast was being prepared. Sergeant Ricard had served the Colorado Department of Corrections for nine years. She is survived by her husband Tim, daughter Katie and husband Kelvin, sons Joey and Jack Benson step-son Ben and his wife Andria and nine grandchildren.
