Corrections Officer Robert Vallandingham was murdered at Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville. Officer Vallandingham was one of (initially) 11 Officers held hostage by inmates durin a lengthy riot at SOCH that began April 11, 1983. He was purportedly executed by his captors, who threw his body out of the prison midway through the 11-day siege.
