Student. Athlete. Musician. Entrepreneur. Advocate. Future criminal justice professional.
Kaidence Moore has never been one to limit herself to just one pursuit. Whether she is competing on a disc golf course, performing with a jazz band, running her own small business, tutoring another student, or preparing for a future in criminal justice, she approaches each opportunity with determination.
The Correctional Peace Officers Foundation is proud to recognize Kaidence as a 2026 CPOF Scholarship recipient.
Academically, Kaidence has challenged herself throughout high school with honors courses and will graduate sixth in a class of 88 students, placing her among the top 10% of her graduating class. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and gives back academically by tutoring underclassmen who need additional support.
Outside the classroom, one of Kaidence’s greatest passions is disc golf. A nationally sponsored competitor since 2019, she has competed in more than 100 events and three Junior World Championships. This summer, she will travel to Pennsylvania to compete in her fourth and final Junior World Championship.
Her platform within the sport has also given her an opportunity to advocate for something deeply personal. After contracting Lyme disease in 2020 and experiencing significant complications, Kaidence began using her voice within the disc golf community to raise awareness about the disease. Despite continuing to navigate health challenges, she has remained committed to her academics, athletics, music, and community.
Her accomplishments don’t stop there.
Kaidence has played saxophone for eight years and performs in her school’s jazz band and wind ensemble, as well as with a local university jazz band. She has performed in a theatre pit orchestra and serves as both bassist and president of her school’s competitive a cappella choir. In January, she helped lead the Valley Voices to the International Championship of High School A Cappella competition.
And somehow, she has also found time to become an entrepreneur.
Kaidence launched her own small business creating crocheted and sewn items and handmade jewelry for local shops and craft fairs—something she hopes to continue growing throughout college and into adulthood.
But when she looks toward her future, another influence becomes clear: her correctional and law enforcement family.
“I have been surrounded by my family of law enforcement my entire life, and I am excited to enter the same field and be able to help people just like they do.”
This fall, Kaidence plans to begin studying criminal justice, taking the first steps toward continuing a family tradition of service while creating a path entirely her own.
The Correctional Peace Officers Foundation is honored to support students like Kaidence who demonstrate that perseverance isn’t simply overcoming one challenge—it is continuing to pursue your goals, serve others, and discover what you’re capable of along the way.
Congratulations, Kaidence! We are proud to be part of your journey and can’t wait to see where your determination takes you next.
