CPOF Assists Lieutenant Tony Hull Following the Loss of His Daughter

The Correctional Peace Officers Foundation recently provided assistance to Lieutenant Tony Hull of Union Correctional Institution in Florida following the heartbreaking loss of his daughter, Taylor Blake Hull.

Taylor passed away on April 25, 2026, at the age of 26. Born on June 1, 1999, in Birmingham, Alabama, Taylor’s life was a testament to perseverance, faith, and determination from the very beginning.

Taylor spent the first two months of her life in the NICU at Children’s Hospital in Alabama, overcoming challenges that many thought impossible. Once she was able to go home to Demopolis, Alabama, she quickly became a source of inspiration to family, friends, and all who knew her, reminding others of the power of hope and faith.

In 2006, Taylor and her family relocated to Fleming Island, Florida, where she continued to thrive. She graduated from Fleming Island High School in 2017 before earning a degree in Sports Management from Georgia Southern University in 2021.

A passionate sports fan, Taylor proudly supported the Auburn Tigers, Atlanta Braves, Dallas Cowboys, and NASCAR. She also cherished the friendships and experiences she gained while working for the Jacksonville Jaguars and Publix.

Most importantly, Taylor was deeply loved by her family. She is survived by her parents, Tony and Kristina Hull; her sister, Anna McCollum; brother-in-law, Bryon McCollum; niece, Bristol McCollum; grandparents, Ron and Sharon Lee; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends whose lives were touched by her kindness and spirit.

During difficult times such as these, the Correctional Peace Officers Foundation is honored to stand beside correctional professionals and their families. Through the generosity of our members and supporters, CPOF is able to provide assistance when tragedy strikes and remind our correctional family that they are never alone.

Our thoughts and prayers remain with Lieutenant Hull, his family, friends, and all those mourning the loss of Taylor.
