CPOF in 2025: A Year of Impact

Because of you, we made a difference.

At the Correctional Peace Officers Foundation, everything we do is rooted in one mission: Taking Care of Our Own. In 2025, that mission came to life in powerful ways—through support, service, and an unwavering commitment to correctional professionals and their families across the nation.

This past year was not only one of growth, but one of meaningful, measurable impact.

Standing Strong When It Matters Most

In 2025, CPOF provided more than $1.1 million in catastrophic assistance to correctional staff and their families facing some of life’s most difficult moments. Behind that number are real people—families navigating loss, injury, and hardship—who did not have to face it alone.

We also stood beside the families of five correctional officers who lost their lives in the line of duty, ensuring they received the support, care, and compassion they so deeply deserve.

At our annual PROJECT 2000 event, we honored 12 fallen officers who made the ultimate sacrifice. Their names, their service, and their legacy will never be forgotten.

We also recognized 15 survivors of serious assaults, honoring their strength, resilience, and courage in the face of adversity.

Growing a Stronger Community

Because of your support, nearly 8,500 new supporting members joined the CPOF family in 2025—strengthening a national network built on unity, compassion, and shared purpose.

We also awarded a record-breaking 400+ scholarships totaling over $210,000, investing directly in the future of our correctional families. These scholarships represent more than financial assistance—they represent opportunity, hope, and a commitment to the next generation.

Building a Better Foundation

In 2025, we didn’t just grow—we evolved.

Through intentional restructuring, CPOF implemented new policies and procedures designed to ensure that assistance reaches those in need faster and more efficiently than ever before. Because when tragedy strikes, time matters—and our correctional families deserve immediate support.

Looking Ahead to 2026

The momentum continues.

As we move into 2026, we are expanding our Field Representative and volunteer teams, increasing our ability to reach and support correctional professionals in every corner of the country.

We are also proud to unveil the Steve Dizmon Training Center, a major step forward in providing high-quality, entry-level training for honor guard teams nationwide. This investment reflects our deep respect for the traditions, professionalism, and dignity that honor guards bring to every service.

Because of You

None of this is possible without you.

Your support, whether as a member, volunteer, donor, or advocate, makes every dollar of assistance, every scholarship awarded, and every family supported possible.

Together, we are more than an organization. We are a community. A family.

And together, we will continue Taking Care of Our Own.
