Standing Beside Sergeant Jason Page Through Loss and Healing

In the difficult days following the loss of a loved one, no one should have to face grief alone. The Correctional Peace Officers Foundation (CPOF) exists to stand beside correctional professionals and their families during their most challenging moments—offering compassion, stability, and support when it matters most.

In December 2025, Sergeant Jason Page of the Joseph Harp Correctional Center in Oklahoma experienced the heartbreaking loss of his wife, April, who passed away on December 21. As Sergeant Page navigated the emotional and financial burden that accompanies such an unexpected loss, his agency leadership reached out to CPOF on his behalf.

At the recommendation of Warden Tommy Sharp and Debbie Moore, CPOF quickly moved to provide catastrophic assistance to Sergeant Page. This support was intended to help ease some of the immediate financial strain associated with funeral expenses and allow him the space and time to focus on healing and honoring his wife’s memory.

When the assistance was delivered, the impact was immediate and deeply felt. Standing alongside Warden Sharp and a CPOF representative, Sergeant Page was visibly moved. The emotion on his face reflected not only grief, but also the profound relief and gratitude that come from knowing that others stand beside you in your darkest hours. In that moment, it was clear that CPOF’s support represented more than financial assistance—it represented connection, compassion, and the promise that he was not alone.

This is the heart of CPOF’s mission.

Through our Catastrophic Assistance Program, we provide financial support to correctional professionals and their families facing unexpected hardships, including the loss of a loved one, serious illness, injury, or other catastrophic events. Our goal is simple but powerful: to ensure that those who dedicate their lives to protecting others are cared for when they need it most.

Sergeant Page’s story is a reminder that behind every uniform is a person, a family, and a life filled with love. It is also a reminder that when tragedy strikes, the corrections community stands together.

Because of the generosity of our members and supporters, CPOF was able to respond quickly and provide meaningful assistance—demonstrating our enduring commitment to Taking Care of Our Own.
