The Correctional Peace Officers Foundation is proud to stand with Estelle Unit Correctional Officer Stefanie Byerly and her family during a difficult and uncertain time.
Recently, Officer Byerly’s husband was diagnosed with a serious illness, creating unexpected emotional and financial challenges for their family. As medical needs increased, so did out-of-pocket expenses associated with his care.
Through our Catastrophic Assistance Program, CPOF was able to provide support to help offset these medical costs and offer some relief during this challenging period. Our mission is to ensure that correctional professionals and their families are not facing hardship alone, especially when circumstances extend beyond their control.
We remain committed to standing beside Officer Byerly and her family, and we extend our continued thoughts and support as they navigate the road ahead.
CPOF exists because of the generosity of our members and supporters, allowing us to respond when correctional families need help most. Together, we continue to take care of our own.
