The Correctional Peace Officers Foundation exists for moments like this—when a member of our corrections family faces an unexpected crisis and needs to know they are not alone.
On December 4, 2025, California Parole Agent Chad Rosenlieb of San Luis Obispo suffered a severe heart attack in his home. In a moment that speaks volumes about courage and love, Chad’s 17-year-old son, Colton, immediately began CPR and continued lifesaving efforts until paramedics arrived. Thanks to his quick actions, Chad was transported to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition. At this time, his recovery timeline is unknown.
This sudden medical emergency has turned life upside down for the Rosenlieb family. As Chad focuses on fighting for his life, his loved ones are navigating the emotional, physical, and financial strain that often accompanies a catastrophic event.
The Correctional Peace Officers Foundation has stepped in to support the Rosenlieb family through our Catastrophic Assistance Program, which provides financial relief during times of severe hardship caused by serious injury, illness, or loss. This assistance helps ease immediate burdens so families can focus on what matters most—healing, hope, and being together.
We are grateful to Michelle Coronado for referring this case and ensuring Chad and his family are connected with support during this critical time.
Please join us in keeping Parole Agent Chad Rosenlieb, Colton, and their entire family in your thoughts and prayers. Your continued support of CPOF makes it possible for us to stand beside families when they need it most—because taking care of our own is not just a mission, it is a promise.
