Standing With Officer Stephanie Rhodes and Her Son Evan

The Correctional Peace Officers Foundation (CPOF) is honored to provide catastrophic assistance to Officer Stephanie Rhodes of FCI Pekin, Illinois, as she and her family navigate a challenging medical crisis.

Stephanie has faced ongoing medical challenges in the past, but her family’s most recent and urgent hardship came when her 15-year-old son, Evan, required a spinal fusion surgery. Evan was hospitalized from October 30 through November 8, 2025, undergoing a major procedure followed by intensive recovery needs.

During Evan’s recovery, Stephanie has needed to remain home to provide hands-on care and support, including assistance with daily chores and mobility as her son heals. As a result, she has been off work and will remain so until Evan is able to return to school on December 1, 2025.

This unexpected medical event has placed significant emotional and financial strain on Stephanie and her family. At the request of the family, CPOF has stepped in to offer catastrophic assistance to help alleviate immediate burdens and ensure they can focus on Evan’s recovery and well-being.

Stephanie’s dedication to her family mirrors the commitment she brings to her profession. CPOF is proud to stand beside her during this difficult time and to support a corrections family when they need it most.

Please keep Stephanie and Evan in your thoughts as Evan continues his healing journey.
